22 July 2024: Shelley Becht, Managing Director, Food & Nutrition, U.S. at Gillco Ingredients, an Azelis Company, was recognized as a finalist in the San Diego Business Journal’s 40 Next Top Business Leaders Under 40 Awards. Shelley Becht has worked at Gillco Ingredients, an Azelis Company since 2015. As Managing Director, Shelley oversees the entire U.S. Food and Nutrition business. Shelley’s dedication and work ethic inspire everyone around her. She embodies both fierce determination and genuine compassion, always ready to support her team while motivating them to achieve their best. She fosters a collaborative environment with both her employees and supplier partners, actively listening and strategizing as the company navigates growth and innovation. Under her leadership, the company achieved a remarkable 31% year-over-year revenue increase from 2023-2024.
A native San Diegan, Shelley is active in her community with her husband and two sons. Outside of work, you can find her on the beach, at little league, or on the golf course (fun fact: she started the women’s golf team at San Dieguito Academy in Encinitas!).
