After receiving this customer’s inquiry for a sanding powder, our Account Manager collaborated with Corbion, our Partner Supplier, to find a solution. Corbion recommended the customer sample PURAC Powder MA (Malic Acid).
Purac Powder MA is a clean and sour tasting malic acid powder with extreme stability and a patented (palm) oil free coating technology. This product was designed specifically for acid sanding in the confectionery market and addresses important functions such as immediate sourness, stability of the acid, no loss of sourness and taste. Additionally, this product helps combat the uptake of moisture to eliminate sticky and unattractively wet-looking candies.
Solution
After R&D tested the product, they were thrilled with the taste, appearance and functionality of the PURAC Powder MA as a coating for their watermelon mochi gummy.
