Gillco Ingredients, an Azelis company, is on a mission to become the nation's leading distributor of sustainable products and services in the food and nutrition industry. We’re proud to work with Supplier Partners that prioritize sustainability in their operations.

Supplier Sustainability

IFF has been an associate member of the Upcycled Food Association (UFA) since 2019. The Upcycled Certified™ mark highlights upcycled ingredents and products procured and produced with surplus food and food by-products from manufacturing, that use verifiable supply chains and have a positive impact on the environment.

As one of the largest producers, IFF extracts pectin, a natural ingredient, from 200,000 metric tons of citrus peels per year.

Big Country has a commitment to human rights, protection of the environment and ethical business practices. Bernardo Ruiz Diaz (left) is an organic sugar farmer – his father started providing sugar cane to La Felsina over 30 years ago. Now Bernardo owns seven hectares of sugar cane and has supplied them for 22 years. He has been an organic producer since 1998.

Tradition is important to the farmers who produce Big Country organic cane sugar. Still today, small farmers transport cane from the fields to the mill by oxcart.

From small family farms to global shipping lanes, Cargill works every day to implement new sustainable practices to reduce our impact on the planet and protect people.

Cargill’s Sustainability Goals are to reduce greenhouse gas emissions:

-10% by 2025 (in their operations)

-10% by 2030 (in their supply chain)
